While traveling this summer one of the books I read was Andy Warhol’s 1000-page journal. It was fascinating reading and motivated me to look for Warhol’s grave when I was in Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it.
In the few months since that attempt, some other frustrated Warhol grave-seekers updated his Wikipedia page with more precise information regarding the location of his grave. So when I visited Pittsburgh over Thanksgiving, I made a point to seek out the cemetery.
It was located in a small cemetery in Bethel Park, along with the rest of the Warhola family. Warhol’s grave was surrounded by Campbell’s soup cans and art supplies.
